The Grayson County Fair Board is looking for volunteers to fill Executive Board positions as well as volunteers to help during the Fair itself.  The Executive Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, as well as Board members in charge of:   Sponsorships, Grounds, Entertainment, Volunteers, Gates, Advertising and Signage, First Grader's Day, Retail Vendors, Food Vendors, Non-Profit Vendors, Ceremonies, Livestock Shows, and Creative Arts.  You don't need special qualifications, just a willingness to help organize and conduct a great Fair for the people of Grayson County.

        Within each of those categories, volunteers can help on a short-term basis such as assisting with parts of the Livestock show, helping in the Creative Arts building as a Superintendent or volunteer, taking tickets at the gate, or becoming a group leader for the First Grader's Day Friday morning or afternoon activities.

        The 2008 Grayson County Fair will be held October 9 - 12^th at the Loy Lake Park show grounds in Denison.  The Executive Board meets monthly to prepare for the annual Fair.  The next Board meeting will be Thursday, August 14^th at 6:30 P.M. at the Texoma Council Of Governments (TCOG) building on Gallagher Drive in Sherman.
